I am a freelance writer based in Brooklyn, New York. I write about reproductive rights, women's health, and gender-based violence. I've covered everything from protests against abortion clinics to forced interventions during childbirth. My work has appeared in NPR, Vice, The Guardian, Mosaic, Wired, The Atlantic, Newsweek, Cosmopolitan, The Nation, The New Republic, Glamour, Buzzfeed, The Washington Post, KQED, and others.
I am a fellow with the International Women's Media Foundation, the International Reporting Project, and The Investigative Fund.
In my previous lives, I studied English and Art History at Cornell University, served in the Peace Corps in Thailand, and wrote about startups in San Francisco.
